DontTrackMe vs Ugly Email, Trocker, PixelBlock and Gblock
Reviewed: October 19, 2026
All five extensions stop emails from knowing when you open them. They differ in where they work, what they do with links, what they cost and how much they show you. The facts below come from each developer's own website and store listing (links at the end). If something here is wrong or out of date, write to privacy@donttrackme.site and we will fix it.

DontTrackMe vs Ugly Email
Ugly Email is free and open source, and it marks tracked emails in the Gmail inbox with an eye. It does not describe any protection for tracked links, and its last update was in March 2024.
- Where Ugly Email is better: it is completely free and its code is public.
- Where DontTrackMe is better: it cleans tracked links, warns you before links that hide their destination, shows which companies and senders track you most, comes in 14 languages and is updated regularly.
DontTrackMe vs Trocker
Trocker is free and open source, and it is the only one of these that also works in Outlook.com and Yahoo Mail. It blocks known trackers, detects unknown ones, and tries to skip the tracking in links.
- Where Trocker is better: it is free, its code is public, and it covers three webmails.
- Where DontTrackMe is better: it marks tracked emails in the inbox before you open them, shows a private summary of who tracks you, and comes in 14 languages.
DontTrackMe vs PixelBlock
PixelBlock is a free Gmail extension for Chrome with more than 40,000 users. When it finds tracking in an email, it blocks it and shows a red eye.
- Where PixelBlock is better: it is free and has a large user base.
- Where DontTrackMe is better: it marks tracked emails before you open them, cleans tracked links, shows who tracks you, and also works in Firefox (soon).
DontTrackMe vs Gblock
Gblock is a paid Gmail extension with a 30-day free trial and a list of about 28,000 known trackers. To protect links, it sends your clicks through its own server, which also hides your IP address from the sender.
- Where Gblock is better: a much longer list of known trackers, custom filters, and a longer free trial.
- Where DontTrackMe is better: your clicks never go through anyone's server. Tracked links are cleaned inside your browser. DontTrackMe also has a free plan, a lifetime option (€19.99 once), a private summary of who tracks you, and 14 languages.
Which one should you choose?
- If you want something free and open source, and you only need open tracking blocked: Ugly Email or Trocker. Choose Trocker if you also use Outlook.com or Yahoo.
- If you want links protected too, without your clicks going through anyone's server, and you want to see who tracks you: DontTrackMe. You can try it free, with 7 days of Pro and no card.
